Scott Anderson

Division Chief Scott Anderson was raised right here in the Monterey County Regional Fire District, off San Benancio Rd., and attended Salinas High School, graduating in 1998.  After graduating, he worked for a local custom cabinet company for five years where learned the trade of woodworking.  In 2001 he was hired as a volunteer with Monterey County Regional Fire District and in 2003 he was hired as a full-time firefighter.  Throughout his career he has advanced through the ranks of Lieutenant, Captain, and in September of 2022 was promoted to Division Chief/Fire Marshal.  Division Chief Anderson holds an A.S. degree in Fire Science from Monterey Peninsula College, a B.S. degree in Fire Administration from Columbia Southern University, is a graduate of the UEI College Paramedic Program and holds many certifications through the California Office of the State Fire Marshal, including Fire Officer and Fire Instructor II.  Division Chief Anderson resides within the district with his wife and two daughters and enjoys mountain biking, coaching softball for his daughters and spending time with his family.
