The East Garrison Station covers a new community of 1,400 homes and the surrounding 86 miles of trails within 7,200-acre Fort Ord National Monument. In addition, Station 7 responds to a portion of the former Fort Ord military base transferred to California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB), including 1,253 housing units located in a residential area two miles east of the main campus. This residential community includes Schoonover Park I and Schoonover Park II with 600 and 872 units respectively.
