Division Chief Patrick Moore was born and raised in Pacific Grove, where he currently resides with his wife and two college aged sons. Patrick's first exposure to the fire service was through his father and family friend who were Volunteer Firefighters. He was drawn to the fire service because of the team oriented culture and a desire to serve the community.
Division Chief Patrick Moore entered the fire service in 1995 as a Volunteer Firefighter with the Pacific Grove Fire Department. He was hired full time by the City of Monterey in 2000. Patrick was promoted through the ranks from Firefighter, Engineer and the past 11 years as a Captain. He had the opportunity to serve on the truck and engine, out of the downtown Monterey station, for 16 years. The following 7 years he was assigned to his hometown station in Pacific Grove.
Division Chief Patrick Moore completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Sacramento State University. Patrick is currently an Adjunct Instructor for the Monterey Peninsula College Fire Academy. He is also a California State Certified Company Officer, Fire Instructor and Lead Exam Evaluator.
