 Division Chief David Craddock was born and raised in Salinas.  He graduated from Salinas High School and attended Hartnell Junior College. 

While attending college, Division Chief Craddock began working as an EMT at a local ambulance company.  He began volunteering with Monterey County Regional Fire District in 2001.  Division Chief Craddock began his full-time career in 2002 and was promoted to Engineer, Lieutenant and Captain.  He was promoted to Division Chief in 2021. 

Division Chief Craddock received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Oregon State University and is a graduate of the Foothill College Paramedic program.  He has been a licensed and accredited Paramedic in Monterey County since 2000 and holds numerous fire service certifications, including Fire Officer and Chief Officer. 

Division Chief Craddock enjoys spending time outdoors.  Snow skiing, hiking, mountain biking and motorcycling are some of his favorite pasttimes.
