Administrative Office

The Administrative office is located at 19900 Portola Drive in the Toro Park area. The Fire Chief, the Division Chiefs and the Deputy Fire Marshal, our Administrative Officer, Administrative Assistant, and Financial Analyst are located there.

The Fire District staffs six fire stations. The 52 full-time employees are supported by 40 volunteer firefighters.

Toro Station

toroThe Toro Station, Station 1, is located at 19900 Portola Drive in the Toro Park area. The Toro Station’s response area consists of the residential areas of Toro Park, Serra Village, Toro Hills, Indian Springs, The Bluffs and Las Palmas Ranch. The first-in response area also covers the agricultural lands west of the City of Salinas, wildland areas of the western Salinas Valley and Fort Ord..

Chualar Station

The Chualar Station, Station 2, is located at the corner of Jackson and Washington Streets in the community of Chualar. The Chualar Station’s response area covers the area between the city limits of Salinas and Gonzales as well as the foothills on both sides of the Salinas Valley. Residential areas are found in Chualar Canyon, along River Road and in the community of Chualar. Most of the valley floor is agricultural land. Commercial and light industrial complexes can be found along the Highway 101 corridor between the City of Salinas and Chualar.

Laureles Station

The Laureles Station, Station 3, is located at the intersection of Highway 68 and Laureles Grade Road. The Laureles Station’s response area includes the Highway 68 corridor from just west of Toro Park to Olmstead Road and Laureles Grade to the Carmel Valley side of the Laureles Summit. The communities of San Benancio, Corral de Tierra, Hidden Hills, Bay Ridge, Pasadera, Monterra Ranch, Canada Woods, and Laguna Seca Estates are scattered amongst the hills and canyon topography of this area. The Laguna Seca Recreation Area is also in the Laureles Response area.

Village Station

villageThe Village Station, Station 4, is located at 26 Via Contenta in Carmel Valley Village. The Village Station's response area covers from San Clemente Drive to the East, to Garland Park on the West end. Enclosed within these boundaries is a mix of residential, commercial and ranch properties. On duty each day is an engine company staffed with a Captain, Lieutenant, and Firefighter, one of whom is a paramedic.

Mid Valley Station

midvalleyThe Mid Valley Station, Station 5, is located at 8455 Carmel Valley Rd in the Mid Carmel Valley area. The Mid Valley Station responds to emergencies from Carmel Valley Rd. and Rancho San San Carlos Rd. to Rancho Fiesta Rd.. On duty each day is an engine company staffed with a Captain and Firefighter, as well as a paramedic ambulance crew.

Santa Lucia Preserve Station

SLPThe Preserve station provides fire and EMS response to 18,000 acres of open space, a private 18 hole golf course, golf club house, aquatic center, a equestrian facility, 100 miles of trails, a lake, and a restored 1920 Hacienda and Ranch Guest House. The recreational communities of White Rock and San Clemente also are protected by this station; it also protects the Northern Portion of Los Padres National Forest under an Agreement with the USFS.
