Monterey County Regional Fire Department

Carmel Valley Residents

Information for Carmel Valley Residents

As of July 1, 2011, the former Carmel Valley Fire Protection District has consolidated with Monterey County Regional Fire District. While you may see a different logo on your local fire engine, the staff of Monterey County Regional Fire remains committed to the excellent community service Carmel Valley residents have enjoyed for many years.

Engine companies at the Village and Mid Valley Stations will be staffed 24-7 with at least one paramedic for rapid, advance life support treatment and transport. With the expanded network of six MCRFD stations, timely mutual aid for large-scale incidents impacting Carmel Valley will be close at hand.

In the interest of providing cohesive service to our entire response area, we will be integrating crews from both predecessor districts into all of our stations. As a result, you will see experienced Carmel Valley Fire employees working with existing Monterey County Regional crews, and some current Carmel Valley employees becoming familiar with MCRFD's other stations at Toro, Chualar and Laureles.

As a Carmel Valley Resident, you should not see a noticeable impact on your level of service and we look forward to continue or professional service to our community.
